How does this filter clear green water (al-gae)?

It uses a 2-step process: the filter sponge traps floating particles, and the built-in U - V light neutralizes free-floating algae cells to clear the water.
How long until I see results? Can it remove al-gae on glass?

Visible improvement takes 1-2 weeks with continuous use. The U - V light only works on al-gae floating in water. Al-gae on surfaces must be manually removed for the filter to process it.
Is the U - V light safe? Can I use it in saltwater or turtle tanks?

Yes. The enclosed U - V light only affects wat-erbor-ne mic-roorgan-isms, not fish, plants, or bene-ficial bac-te-ria. It is safe for both freshwater and saltwater, including turtle tanks.
